The Art Club of McKinney

Artist's Statement:

My work focuses on color and composition, and encompasses a broad range of subject matter. I am most enthusiastic about music, the synergy between musicians and artists, and creating paintings live during music events, which I have enjoyed here in McKinney.

During my graduate studies at Yale, I developed a strong business in decorative painting and murals. It was the perfect opportunity for me to explore and create original designs in styles from Classical to Contemporary, including French Provencal, Mediterranean, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Early American, Japanese and Chinese.

I am privileged to be in McKinney during this surge in growth of its arts and culture. I'm particularly pleased to be a part of MAST, the Texas Regional Art Symposium (co-coordinator), the venerable Art Club of McKinney, and the McKinney Arts Commission (appointed by the City Council). I also participate in, and help spread the word about, Second Saturday Art Walk every month in downtown McKinney.
