Artist's Statement:

As a classical painter, I strive for realism and authenticity in my work. Many artists influenced me, mainly the old masters but also early American Artists, such as William Merrit Chase and John Singer Sargent. Russian artist Nicolai Fechin is one of my favorites.

I am inspired by people. The fact that every person is unique and special is in itself a reason to paint them. It is facinating how a figure can convey a particular emotion, sometimes describing that particular person’s personality. It is a challenge that endures.

Artist's Biography:

Patricia's biography reads like a geography lesson, as she has studied with many great artists all over America. Her studies include watercolor with Bud Biggs in Dallas, watercolor and oils with Irby Brown in Dallas, pastels and oils with William Schultz in Massachusetts, Dan Green in New York, Sergei Bongart in Idaho, William Reece in Washington State, Frank Covino in Idaho and Texas, and the list goes on - and on.

She loves going to workshops and seminars and finds it great fun.

Her skills and love of painting reflect wonderfully in her artworks.
